Registration for Spring Youth Soccer is open and will run through February 26. The league is co-ed and available for those ages 3 through 8th grade. Registration can be completed online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Youth Sports). All players must register whether they are seeking placement on a team or will be playing with an established team. Age verification documents will be required during registration if they have not already been submitted. This includes a photo of the child and a birth certificate.
The soccer season will begin on March 22 and games will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

School's Out Program is offered during Winter Break and Spring Break (following the Republic School District calendar). Activities are planned to ensure a fun-filled day for the children. A sack lunch and a snack are required each day. Payment is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. A minimum of 10 children must be registered by February 28 in order to run the program.
Weekly Schedule:
- Monday, March 15: Gardening Day
- Tuesday, March 16: Art Day
- Wednesday, March 17: St. Patrick's Day
- Thursday, March 18: Animal Day
- Friday, March 19: Fun & Games (including laser tag)

Winter Youth Futsal is now open for registration! Each weekly session will include a 25 minute footskills training session followed by an hour of game play. Players will be divided into teams to scrimmage. Individual registration is available online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Youth Sports). Have an entire team? All players can sign-up individually and request to play together when dividing into teams to scrimmage each week.
The program runs through Monday, March 1.
Session 1: Mondays 5:30-7:00 p.m. (Players Age 7-10) Session 2: Mondays 7:15-8:45 p.m. (Players Age 10-13)
**SPACE IS LIMITED FOR EACH SESSION** Weekly drop-in registration will be opened online one week prior to each session. Any remaining availability will be accepted with cash payment at the Community Center on the day of the class. The weekly drop-in fee is $4 per player.

Ready to put your Madden skills to the test against others in the community? Join us for a Madden 21 E-Sports Tournament at the Republic Community Center! The tournament starts at 10:00 a.m. and each player is guaranteed at least two games. Divisions will be available for both Xbox & PlayStation (must have at least four players in each division). The tournament is available to anyone ages 8+. Players are responsible for bringing their own console and controllers. Pizza will be available for lunch and prizes will be awarded to the first place finishers in each division.
The fee for the tournament is $10 per player. Registration can be completed online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Community Programs).

Enjoy a fun date night at the Republic Community Center with a class led by Springfield Charcuterie! Couples will work together to create a meat, cheese, fruit, and vegetable spread on their own charcuterie board that they will get to bring home with them. The instructor will lead the class in how to fold, cut, and pair different foods to create the perfect spread. The class will be held on Friday, February 12 at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $60 per couple. If you need childcare, see the information below about our Parent's Night Out event held the same evening.
Parent's Night Out will also be held on Friday, February 12 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Bring your children out to the Republic Community Center for a night of fun while you get a peaceful night to yourself. Staff will entertain your children with age appropriate games and equipment, movies, and crafts. Dinner (pizza) will also be provided! The fee for the program is $12 per child.

The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program (AFEP) is back in session! This FREE class is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30-2:30 p.m. through February 25 at the Republic Community Center.
Enjoy Springfield Little Theater's showing of "The Sound of Music" without going out to the theater. We will be streaming the live show at the Republic Community Center on Saturday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. as our next Senior "Trip". The show is free for seniors, but we do ask that you RSVP so we know how many to expect. Seating is limited, so call us at 732-3500.
The next session of Wii Bowling begins on Wednesday, February 17. Time slots will be offered at 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Four people may play per time slot. Pre-registration and a $2.00 fee per person per six week session is required. Registration will open at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3.
February's Senior Movie will be held on Thursday, February 25 at 3:00. This month's movie is A Hidden Life (Rated PG-13). The movie is FREE and popcorn will also be available.

Registration is open for the next session of Toddler Tumbling with the same Monday sessions, plus all new options on Friday afternoons! Toddler Open Gym is back and will run from 9:30-11:30 a.m. each Friday, except for the last Friday of the month when we offer our new Toddler Dance Party from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Registration for all toddler programs can be completed online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Community Programs).

Calling all Pickleballers! Join us for a Pickleball Tournament on Wednesday, February 17 at the Republic Community Center. The tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. and is an open doubles format. The cost is $30/team. Registration can be completed online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Adult Sports).

Create a work of art for your home! AR Workshop will be at the Republic Community Center on Monday, February 22 to help us craft personalized monogramed signs. There are two designs to choose from (see examples below). The class starts at 6:00 p.m. and costs $45 per person. Pre-registration is required and can be completed online at recdesk.republicparks.com. The class is limited to 15 people.

Okinawan Karate is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m. The next session will be held March 16 - May 13. The program is open to youth and adults ages 6+. Registration for this session will open on February 23 and can be completed online at recdesk.republicparks.com.
Okinawan Karate classes are taught by Anthony Willis. Anthony relocated to the area after a 27-year career in the United States Air Force. He has been practicing and researching martial arts for 30+ years and has several black belts, including a 6th degree black belt in Okinawan Goju Ryu. He lived in Okinawa and studied under an Okinawan instructor for just under five years, and has been teaching Goju Ryu Karate for over 20 years.
