Living Legacy Tree Program

The Living Legacy Tree Program offers individuals an opportunity to honor a loved one by purchasing a tree to be planted within one of our parks. These trees serve as a long-lasting, living remembrance that will also benefit the community for many years to come. Additionally, trees can be purchased simply as a donation to the park.

Trees are available for a donation of $150.00. A 6”x6” honorary plaque is also available to purchase for an additional $100.00. The plaque will be placed at the base of the tree when planted.

Trees purchased November 1 - March 31 will be planted the following spring. Trees purchased April 1 - October 31 will be planted in the fall. Each tree will be included in the City of Republic’s tree maintenance program.

Program Terms & Conditions:

Trees can be planted within Brookline Park, J.R. Martin Park, Miller Park, Moore Park, or Owen Park. The donated tree will be included in the tree watering program.  If the tree happens to die, we will replace it one (1) time during a period of three (3) years. If a tree dies and needs to be replanted, it may be planted at a different location during the next planting phase to ensure better growth. Please note that broken branches or the natural shape of the tree are not considered reasons for replacement. The optional plaques will be the financial responsibility of the donor, and will only be replaced upon request and after payment of a replacement plaque is received.
