Remodeling is defined as new construction inside the original footprint of the building. An accurate site and floor plan must be turned in with the Residential Remodel Permit Application, and be sure to review the
Residential Addition and Remodel Guidelines (PDF) before beginning your project. Sources of electricity, HVAC, supply and waste plumbing should be noted on the floor plan.
All construction must comply with the
adopted building codes. All residential remodeling must be permitted by the City and construction progress inspected by the City’s Building Inspector.
Permit Fees
Permit cost is based on the total square footage of the remodel and is calculated via ICC Building Valuation Data table formula specific to Republic.
